The Templar G2 Non QD Trunnion reduces the weight of  the ACR by approximately 5 ounces when combined with the Templar Non QD barrel nut.  These were designed using official Remington Blueprints while also being upgraded for better durability when being used with the final generation Ambi charging handle from Bushmaster.

The G1 Non QD Trunnion is CNC machined from billet 7075 Aluminum for the added strength while still retaining it’s lightweight properties.  The G1 Trunnion weighs in at 2.3 ounces.  The standard G2 barrel nut is machined from 4140 Steel and has a Black Nitride coating for a very durable finish.  A VG3 7075 aluminum Barrel nut can be substituted if you want the lightest option.

Installation requires the barrel to be disassembled to install the new barrel nut.  Not compatible with the factory lock ring assembly.

Barrel nut torque specs are 35-50 foot pounds.  A couple drops of blue locktite will help secure barrel if you are not planning on removing the barrel repeatedly.
